Once we reach Sirena Station, we have the mission is to look for the abundant wildlife of this station. Therefore, you will be exploring the biological intense trails of Sirena during 3 or 4 hrs.
We sleep at Sirena Station in bunk beds, a big open room almost like camping,
Sirena – San Pedrillo
You will take the boat to San Pedrillo, where you will take a break to recharge energies and wait for temperatures to drop.
In the afternoon, you will hike to the waterfall, passing through a primary forest, where the trees are so high that they cover the sunlight…
The boat ride between Sirena and San Pedrillo takes about 45 minutes, we disembark in the wildest sector of Corcovado.
THIS IS WHERE THE ADVENTURE BEGINS!
In this tour the trails are irregular, wilder and in a more natural environment, we start walking to the San Pedrillo Waterfall where we will have lunch and refresh ourselves in fresh water pools.
The objective of this part of the tour is to get to know one of the few primary rainforests in the world, with ancient trees, forests over 3000 years old, land of top predators, such as pumas, jaguars, etc.
Here the animals are more elusive and maintain their natural behavior, so it is more difficult to see them, but you can get a great surprise, like seeing a Tyra hunting a sloth, or a puma hunting a spider monkey.
The main reason why we love this part of the tour is because of the interaction between prey and predators, even if it is just hearing or feeling them, it is something magical. We will walk on trails that only we walk, always looking for the purest and most adventure oriented.
Here you will feel the force of nature, you will feel small and spied.
In this part of the tour, the pace of the walk is faster, mainly to be able to surprise the animals that are very elusive and to be able to arrive at the station before nightfall.
Once we have covered a total of 20 kilometers and arrived safe and sound at the station, we will have dinner and get ready to rest, for today we have lived enough adventure.
The next day, we wake up to the sounds of the jungle, have breakfast and recharge energy for the last part of the tour.
In this hike you will walk about 9 km, always visiting wild trails and away from humans.
You will have the opportunity to bathe in freshwater rivers, and see a beautiful waterfall, and we arrive at noon to the sector of Los Planes where we take lunch and a 4X4 awaits us to leav
After the breakfast, at 06:00 am. You will get ready to explore the wilderness of one the most remote trails of the Osa Peninsula. The mission is to live an unforgettable experience, full of stories, jungle interpretation and adrenaline.
At 09:00 am you’ll reach hidden waterfalls and from there, walk inside the canyon of the river, exploring naturally shaped swimming pools and seeing the jungle from a different perspective.
By noon you will arrive at the shelter, where you will have a traditional Costa Rican lunch and rest in hammocks.
After a little monkey nap, you will head back to Drake Bay downtown to rest during the afternoon or explore more trails around town.
