Why This Route Is Different

A Rare Crossing from Rainforest to Sea

Most overnight adventures in Costa Rica focus on one environment. This expedition connects several. You begin in the remote jungle of Piedras Blancas National Park, cross rivers and forest, reach the wild coast of Golfo Dulce, spend the night at a remote beach camp, and continue into a technical island adventure the next day.

It is this transition between ecosystems that makes the experience so unusual. In just two days, you move through rainforest, rivers, coastline, mangroves, open gulf waters, and rocky island terrain in one continuous journey across the southern Osa Peninsula.

Not a Standard Overnight
One expedition. Three worlds.
Rainforest Golfo Dulce Islands
01
The Jungle Start

Piedras Blancas National Park

The expedition begins deep in one of the least transited corners of the region, with a long jungle traverse through humid forest, river crossings, and wild terrain.

02
The Coastal Shift

Golfo Dulce and the Remote Camp

After the forest, the experience opens into the gulf. Boat travel, mangroves, wildlife, beach camping, sunset atmosphere, and night conditions create a completely different world.

03
The Technical Finish

Mogos Islands Adventure

The second day adds a final layer of action with island exploration, snorkeling, rappelling, via ferrata, coasteering, cliff jumps, and clear-water movement in a remote setting.

What makes it special

The route itself is the experience

This is not just a place to sleep outside. It is a designed jungle-to-ocean crossing that combines movement, remoteness, and changing natural environments into one of the most complete overnight adventures on the Osa Peninsula.
