Still unsure? Take the 2-minute quiz and we’ll recommend the best option for your dates and travel style.
This isn’t a place to “wing it.” Logistics are complex, access is regulated, and the best wildlife requires expert timing. Our packages exist to make it simple: we handle the reservations + transport puzzle, so you can focus on the experience.
Corcovado access requires advance reservations and coordination. We manage the “back-and-forth” so you don’t spend your vacation planning.
More ecosystems + the right hotspots + the right time windows = better sightings. We build itineraries around how wildlife actually moves.
The jungle has real variables. Our team operates with a WFR/SAR mindset—risk managed, not ignored—so you can go deeper with confidence.
We can coordinate pickup/drop-off through Sierpe River Port and/or Drake Bay Airport.
You book early — we handle permits/tickets + coordination as part of your package.
Corcovado overnights: shared bunk beds (standardized).
Drake Bay nights: shared/private options, A/C or no A/C.
Some arrivals involve beach entry. Bring sturdy water shoes (not flip-flops).
Single-use plastics are not allowed in national parks. Bring a reusable/refillable water bottle.
Green season can be epic (lush + fewer crowds). October: not recommended; Sirena closes in October.
500+ travelers trust us with their once-in-a-lifetime Corcovado adventure—earning a perfect 5.0 ⭐ and TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025 award.
Real feedback from travelers who explored Drake Bay, Corcovado and the Osa Peninsula with Sukia.
Short experiences you can add before/after your multi-day package — or book as standalone day trips.
A full-day gateway into Corcovado — ideal if you want a taste of the park without overnights.
A jungle canyoning experience near Drake Bay — waterfalls, ropes, and pure adventure.
The top marine day trip from Drake Bay — snorkeling or diving in Caño Island waters.
Boat safari through mangrove canals — birds, monkeys, reptiles, and unique ecosystems.
Night jungle walk to spot nocturnal wildlife — frogs, insects, snakes (season-dependent), and more.
Short, practical answers about logistics, accommodations, seasons, and what to pack—so you can pick the right tour package fast.
Yes. Drake Bay is one of the best basecamps for the Osa Peninsula because it gives you access to Corcovado sectors and Caño Island by boat, with lots of rainforest and wildlife right around town.
No. When you book a Sukia package, we take care of the Corcovado permits/tickets and coordination as part of the service.
Corcovado is the “last frontier” in Costa Rica—logistics are complex. Our packages exist to make this easy: we handle the reservations, guide/operator requirements, timing, and transport connections.
Your job: share your dates and the basic info needed for reservations (names/passport details if required). Our job: make it smooth.
Yes—especially in high season. Availability for Corcovado sectors and overnights can fill up. Booking early gives you the best chance to secure your preferred dates and package style.
Outside Corcovado (Drake Bay nights): you can choose accommodation style—shared or private, A/C or no A/C—depending on budget and comfort preference.
Inside Corcovado (overnight nights): park stations are standardized dorm-style bunk beds (shared). That’s the only accommodation available inside the park for overnight stays.
No. Corcovado station lodging is basic and shared (bunk beds / dorm-style). Comfort upgrades (private rooms, A/C) apply to your nights outside the park.
We can coordinate pickup/drop-off through:
Tell us your route preference and we’ll match the smoothest option.

Option 3 — Private taxi / shuttle:
Schedules can change—always confirm close to your travel date. If you want, we’ll recommend the best route after your quiz.
Public boat departures commonly run around late morning and mid-afternoon (often ~11:30 AM and ~3:30–4:00 PM). Times can shift by season and operator, so confirm near your dates.
There are no ATMs in Drake Bay. Bring enough cash for tips and small purchases, and withdraw before arriving (Palmar Norte is commonly used as the last reliable ATM stop).
Not at all. Green season can be more immersive, with fewer people on trails and rainforest at its peak—many travelers love it for a more authentic Osa feel.
October: we typically don’t recommend October because rainfall peaks and Sirena sector is closed in October (other sectors may remain open).
No. Single-use plastics (including disposable plastic water bottles) are prohibited in Costa Rica’s national parks.
Bring a reusable/refillable bottle (metal or hard reusable plastic). Rangers may remove prohibited items at entry.
Yes. For many boat arrivals (especially Sirena), there is no dock and landings can be wet (waves + beach entry).
Bring sturdy water shoes or secure strap sandals (not flip-flops). You’ll switch to hiking shoes/boots for trails.
4-Day Wildlife: the most basic option—best for families who want a lighter jungle experience.
5-Day Wildlife Photography: the best for slow pace, waiting, birdwatching, and wildlife photography (maximum wildlife focus without big physical effort).
4-Day Adventure: “light adventure version” but requires good fitness.
6-Day Adventure: top pick for adventure variety (along with 7 days).
7-Day Adventure: deep immersion—the most complete expedition feel.
