La Gamba Jungle Crossing to Remote Beach Camp
The expedition begins with an early pickup from your hotel in Uvita or Pavones, followed by transfer to the La Gamba / Piedras Blancas sector. From there, the route crosses a remote section of forest with river crossings, humid jungle terrain, and a full 16 km traverse before transitioning toward the coast and continuing into Golfo Dulce.

Once the group reaches the trail access area, the team prepares gear and starts the expedition on foot.

The first phase of the expedition is a long forest traverse through remote terrain with river crossings, jungle traversing, humid conditions, and a real sense of movement through one of the wildest corners of the area.

A packed lunch is included during the first day while the group continues the route toward the coast.

After completing the 16 km crossing, the expedition reaches the coast and continues into Golfo Dulce, combining the jungle route with the next aquatic part of the journey.

The route includes a mangrove safari near the gulf, adding another ecosystem and another layer of wildlife observation to the experience.

The group arrives at a raw expedition-style beach camp with hammocks, tarps, and a basic setup in a remote coastal environment.

Dinner, rest, and possible bioluminescence
Dinner is included on the first night. When the conditions align, the group may also experience bioluminescence, although this always depends on nature, the moon, and water conditions.
